So the violin I bought is beautiful. I named her Anastasia (Anna, for short) and she is my second child. (The first, of course, being the Nintendo DS) I've had little time to play with her just yet but I did refamiliarize myself with the structure and posture of the whole thing and tried to re-remember my fingers. I managed to pizzicato out a few simple Final Fantasy tunes for the fun of it and have confidence that the learning curb is less steep the second time up.

Steph has been sick the last week or so with some sort of infection thing in her chest. We caught it early (Gratefully) and got her the proper antibiotics before it turned into full blown pneumonia. She still has a small fever but it looks like that's about done and then I think things will get a little less hectic. Halloween was okay for working the entire time but I trust the slightly better paycheck will reflect my enthusiasm better. I was pleased to hear I had an invite to a Halloween party pending for me had I ran into the right person the other day. I wouldn't have gone but the thought was still nice.

Finally, my grades are in a strange place right now. I boast an A+, an A-, and a D+. I'm two exams from making that D+ to a C+ or B- and I hope I have the head on my shoulders to do it. Especially since it's the one class most related to my field of interest. (I love you math but I hate you, too)

I'm still going to try and figure out a good way to record myself playing in decent quality but it may take a little time yet. So I suppose for now I'll just need to keep talking to myself here.
